Sisterhood

Sisterhood of Temple Beth El is a proud member of the Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ). WRJ’s mission is to guarantee the future of Reform Judaism by educating and training Sisterhood and congregational leadership. We are a diverse group of women and cover the spectrum from working professionals to stay-at-home-moms to retired “wonder women”. Our ages span from early 20s to late 90s. What does Sisterhood do? We organize bimah flowers, onegs, run the Judaica Shop, organize the kitchen, handle Break-the-Fast and first night Seder…and that is just the start. We participate in and support life cycle events, educational programs, Social Action, Theater night for Camp Scholarships and, of course, our youth. Sisterhood is not just an organization, but a special place where friendships are made and extended families are formed. We are a dynamic and enthusiastic group who share common interests, concerns and ideas. Sisterhood supports Temple Beth El in a variety of ways, while providing a social, caring environment. We realize that we all have the same goal. Our members may not all be Temple members, or even Jewish, but we are all SISTERS!
We are committed, as it says in our mission statement, to Reform Jewish ideals.
